Give us a review when you can! Thanks

I can't wait to get back so that I can power it up.
I don't know how true it is, but I've always heard to power up an inverter welder, and let it idle for a couple hours before using. I've done it to everyone of my inverters, so far nothing but good luck with them!

You never told me that before:D.

With the PA300 I just turned it on and started using it.
I will definitely do that with the 325.
thanks

Is there any chance that could have a relationship with the Brand X inverter problems that I and the Canadian young man had?

I don't know:confused3:. There is a guy on the Miller forum that owns a welding repair shop in Edmonton Alberta. He swears by doing this to inverter welders.

Don't see where it can do any harm thus I will do it to the new one. Thanks

Of course I think they run them to test them before they ship thus wonder if it makes any difference anyway as they certainly don't do it at the factory.

If I remember correctly, it's something about letting the electronics level out after shipping.:confused3:

If that's the guy I'm thinking about, No. That guy had an issue with the way 4T and 2T modes worked different from the way another brand worked, IIRC. And then he apparently got obsessed with harassing them about it.

Dan, no it was some kid from British Columbia. Longevity gave him the Stickweld 250. His welder started losing power like Fure's did. Haven't seen that kid here or on Welding Web. I think he discovered girls!

Oh yes. I sorta remember something like that.

It certainly doesn't hurt to warm up your inverter before use. If it was out in the cold you should let it warm up before turning it on. Most inverter welders are burned in at the factory so none of this is really a must do. But, It doesn't hurt treating your equipment like one of the family. Now singing to your welder is a different topic all together. Do that in private.
