I don't know how true it is, but I've always heard to power up an inverter welder, and let it idle for a couple hours before using. I've done it to everyone of my inverters, so far nothing but good luck with them!I can't wait to get back so that I can power it up.

Is there any chance that could have a relationship with the Brand X inverter problems that I and the Canadian young man had?
Dan, no it was some kid from British Columbia. Longevity gave him the Stickweld 250. His welder started losing power like Fure's did. Haven't seen that kid here or on Welding Web. I think he discovered girls!:laughing:
