Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but did anyone else who watched Christy in that TV clip think she should recruit the guy on the couch next to her into her Gator Squad ? Even the big gators wouldn't be able to put up much of a struggle if he could be persuaded to climb on and pin them to the ground.

36 going to 46. Our frozen hard ground has now softened up a bit.

RNG - I had a few splits with termites, too...from an old dead cherry tree...I left them out where the Carolina wrens search for insects for a few days, but the remaining termites looked a little chilly - so into the woodstove they went.

Been watching a series on Amazon Prime with my wife - "The Man in the High Castle" - an alt history where the Nazis and Japan won WWII and split the USA between them...very good...makes you think how bad it could have been except for the brave men that fought that war. Highly recommend it.

Well, I didn't win the $500MM Powerball last night, so I won't be sending each of you a big check today. Sorry.

good morning all. Much warmer, 42 going up to a whopping 60 today.
Having my second cup of coffee, fresh ground Christmas beans, and woowee does
this stuff have caffeine in it. Think I'm adding my normal decaf to it tomorrow, but wanted to see what
Wild Monkey or whatever they named it tastes like. But I'm saving Crispy Hippy for last. Can't wait to see what that
tastes like. Visions of Cheech and Chong laying on the beach getting sunburned...

15 headed to 38 today. Left my travel mug of coffee on the counter when I left for work this morning. Made an emergency stop at Dunkin on the way in.

Good Morning. 0710, partly cloudy, 44F with 87% humidity. Forecast high of 64F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 53F tonight.

I'm going in to work early today, so whatever I do this morning will have to be done soon. If I get to town in time, I'll join Margie and some of her staff for lunch. Speaking of Margie, she announced Tuesday night that she will not be running for re-election. {her term runs until 1-6-17, but she will resign on 12-31-16 to make starting her retirement and SS smoother} The first candidate came in to file their intent to run for her office yesterday morning. It is always a free for all when a long time office holder retires, so it wouldn't surprise me to see a dozen folks throw their hat into the ring. There was 8 or 9 in the race 12 years ago when she ran the first time.
