norse log winch, anyone familiar??

Thinking of getting the norse 450 logging winch, seems like a decent price compared to other places. Anybody familiar?? Pros cons? Thank you

Haven't been around one in years, but one thing I will suggest is deciding whether you want a "leg" style or "bulldozer" style, depending what this one is.

The leg style can be used pulling a trailer, but you have to raise and lower the legs depending on the ground conditions, and that may cause clearance issues unless you raise them when you move...

Does anyone make the "leg" type any longer??

I wouldn't buy one that doesn't have a "blade", and I wouldn't buy one without a hitch in the blade either. Mine has an "adjustable" hitch,

And it works perfectly for pulling, even big loads,

In fact, most times I pull doubles,

The REAL differences are, the "features" each has... Some are much more user friendly and some come with safety features that the others SHOULD have...

Thanks Yukon, It was made by Wallenstein and it's been a very good winch. I've pulled some big sticks with it, even up out of some fairly steep ravines,

Wallenstein makes several different sizes, (in Canada) check them out if you like.....they have a good product.
