Attaching a Backhoe to the 3-Point Hitch on a Mahindra 5555
We bought a WoodMaxx 8600 that attaches to the 3-point hitch on our Mahindra 5555. The WoodMaxx looks like a good value for the money but I have a question about hooking it up. An adjustable bar is provided to replace the top link, but the mounting hole in the bar is smaller than the pin in the mounting bracket on the Mahindra. WoodMaxx suggested using bushings on the tractor. I was thinking about having the hole on the bar machined larger.
A second problem is the draft linkage. I do not want to attach the backhoe to the bracket that regulates the draft. Seems to me that would tear it up. The bracket on the tractor to which the draft linkage is affixed looks far stronger. Removing the draft link however looks like a pain. How do you experienced tractor backhoe operators do it?
