Are these canopies manufactured from fiberglass? Plastic? are they injection molded? there is so many things you could do with these, not only front and rear facing lights, but also options for lighting out the sides as well. Perhaps some overhead storage spaces as well, and maybe a plated area or a slot to install a radio. I have seen some available canopies that have a large overhead fan installed, which in my mind is genius as with a downward breeze keeping dust, and bugs as well as cooling. One thing I would be sure of doing, would be to supply a good weatherproof wiring harness, with at least one or two extra circuits for optional additions down the line like radio, aux fan etc.
Make sure you supply American / Canadian / Mexican built lights, rigid etc. Surprisingly, people will pay a premium for made at home things
Keep it on the continent!!

Cheers

Roger

All of our products are made from steel. We believe that fiberglass and plastic are less likely to last as long and are more likely to get damaged.

I VERY SELDOM venture out at night. No need - I'm retired and can do it all in the daylight. Besides there are too many things out there that go "bump" in the night.

However, if I were to install lights they would be large marine flood lights like those sold by McDermott. I've seen these lights on fishing boats and tug boats and they will easily illuminate an area half the size of a football field. They are not that expensive - if your are serious about light - and being LED, the 12 volt draw is not that much.

Just to reinforce a previous statement: For me, lights are as much about BEING seen as being able to see.

Also think the "dome light" idea is a great one. I was a bit surprised to find that the cab on my Kubota didn't have one, darn thing has everything else!

Come to think of it tho, it shouldn't be hard to add one. Hmmmmmmmm....

A dome light is a very good idea. It wasn't something we thought of, which is why I am glad this forum is available.

Whether or not you use any of this feedback will be your business decision, but I will say I am grateful to see a manufacturer reach out on a forum like this. Thank you!

Do a search on LED lights, especially light bars and look at this thread. I am going to copy his light bar installation on my ROPS. (Page one) the mounting brackets are unique.

On edit though I have yet to see anyone have a general lighting option of the canopy's like a dome light in cars. But front or rear aux lighting, especially built in with glare shielding to the driver might be a benefit.

We have a similar light bar for our after market Polaris accessories.

You are most welcome. We strive for customer satisfaction, we want to make the best of the best. I am happy to work for a company that still has small town values, because the customers are the ones that keep us in business.

I don't like to think about the things that go bump in the night

It there any chancy your company, The Perry Company The Perry Company: Home , could offer TBN members a discount?:D Hopefully it does not hurt to ask.

I looked at your product line for tractors and they appear well built. Looks like you could fabricate a self of some kind to mount lights front, sides and back that could be an add on kit to the covers. As your a metal fabricator there is also a need for skid plates for our tractors to protect the hydraulic blocks on some units. Do a search and you will see some of the damage that can happen, especially to the Kioti and Bobcat versions with the hydraulic blocks under the right floor board.
