Does anyone have a suggestion for a source for a fuel filter for my tractor?
2015 MF1736

I went to the dealer today and they wanted $80+ for the filter plus tax. That is sticker shock.
The one for my MF35 looks very similar and was a small fraction of that price.

A Canadian source would be preferable as the 30% USD exchange rate would likely derail the savings vs the local dealer.

I haven't explored Amazon or eBay yet. I would like a suggestion from you as it can be a mountain of imitations and sketchy sellers out there.
Reputable and reliable sellers would be appreciated.

I buckled and bought the oil filter. That was about $25 and it's no more unique looking than an automobile version that slings for $10-$15.

Not to be complaining. If that is how the parts market is going to be, I will adjust but I also don't want to be a complete sucker.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Car Quest now carries Oil/fuel for our 1635, they now carry Baldwin. When they sold Wix they did not have filters.

Do you have one nearby?

I went to one today and they weren't very helpful. He told me "we sell car parts, if you bring in the old one we probably can get it. ". (With attitude)

I will maybe try another location.

Thanks for the info.

Take the part numbers with you....

Sounds like the meatheads that work in the nearby NAPA, wont set foot in there again.

I have them now. I came home and took a screen shot of the parts book page. I just went in and asked while I was in town getting shear bolts. Thought they could look it up in a cross reference like other parts. When I go for brake pads I don't bring a number. They ask 20 questions about the car to narrow their options. Year Make Model 2wd/4wd Etc. I would have accepted an explanation of "we can get parts but we don't have direct lookup. Can you find the part number? We can probably hook you up if you can" This early '50s "dude" with a black mechanics jacket and matching welders beanie was too cool to be bothered. Rant over. Thanks for listening and offering advice.
