Good Morning. 0825, partly cloudy, 49F with 82% humidity. Forecast high of 56F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 35F tonight. We had a couple of heavy thunderstorms last night, starting about 2300. Now it looks like more cold on the way. I don't have to go into work until noon, so time to piddle around this morning. I know it is way too early and my greenhouse is already overcrowded, but I'm planting a few Grand Bell Pepper mix today. They have the little seed pack four for a dollar at Dollar Tree now. The store in Marianna was out of GBM, but Margie picked up several packs when she was in Orlando.

Most of my music listening is from You Tube these days. They have complete shows by most of the old bands.

Morning... Just now checking the forum. Piedmont NC has light snow this morning - first of the winter. Supposed to end my late morning and then temp headed to low 40's. Gotta hit the hardware store this morning for a couple bales of straw to cover muddy areas where I worked with the tractor Friday. Thinking about a generator this year so I'll look at what they have at the store.

Who else would post a pic of their new grease gun on the pillow case and quilt??? Not I, for fear of great wrath.

You see, we need a spontaneous hero that is not full of fear (and who keeps a clean grease gun), to keep us in touch with the sometimes outlandish side of things. And, for some great laughs that keep coming back every time I think of it. Smiling now, I am.

Good Morning! 50F and raining @ 6:30AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High 56F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall may reach one inch.

Another 0.75" of rain fell yesterday, making this month the wettest January in years. Not much fun being outside in this stuff, but it sure beats hauling water in the summer if the well goes dry!

More paperwork today: have to change all the automatic charges over to a new VISA number; the old one got snagged in another data breach. Never had a problem with the debit card, and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to use that instead. Anybody here doing that?

I've always been told that debit cards do not offer the level of protections that credit cards do.

I still wish the feds would make the punishments for electronic theft so great, that criminals would stop.

Good morning all. 30F, fog and heavy frost on the windshield. Forecast for 54F light wind and mostly sunny. Choir went well even though only twp rehearsals before today. Going over to stepdaughter's house clean pistol, then to Sherman for some shooting, some of the class is doing shooting qualification for CCP today. Then finish with some football.

Great, last night our local weather man says a couple of models have snow for today, the rest all say clear and upper 30's. It's snowing, 32° and more on the way...

Drew, I'm from northeastern NC and we often referred to culvert pipe as tile.

Good morning! 28˚ at sunrise but heading to 56˚ sunny and with no wind feels warmer. I volunteered to do a cemetery road project, first ditches with straight blade then box blade a load of gravel. Must remember not to grade too deep!!!!! There has been some serious erosion with all the rains the past year.
Today the Scott air pack sales rep will sticker shock us, I'm sure. Fun, fun.

Have to do the same thing for Discover this month, and two months ago. I did not report a security breach and they say it was not their security breach but they never say who's it was.

27.0F with light snow and heading down to a low of 8F overnight.

Figured out that the ammonia I was using was pretty weak ... it's old and may have been diluted with water for some other purpose. Picked up a quart at ACE while I was out yesterday. Cracked the bottle and took a sniff after I got out to the car ... almost made me cry ... but did bring back fond memories of working at the Tenneco plant in Tejas.

Added a tablespoon plus a little I splashed while filling the spoon last night after I got home, which promptly took it up to 4 ppm. Had fallen to 2 ppm when I tested it around noon. Will retest again tomorrow.

Picked up a 4" filter sock for a buck yesterday at Petsmart ... gonna fill it with gravel from the 10g to further seed the 55g with bacteria.

Probably paint the back of the 20g long today and maybe the second 55g. The Squeak will need to temporarily imprisoned.
