Now that would be fun I'm sure. If you plant in grass weed eating nightmare riprap keeping it clean nightmare just thought stone or the like retaining walls simpler to maintain and personally always looking for things that involve less work

25 going to only 28 today and windy. Only traces of snow remain.

Eric, I bet the sheep do a good job of fertilizing your yard, too. Do you jump on that trampoline? We used to have one for the boys, but I think I used it just as much. We'd spray the mesh with water in the late afternoon, and it would freeze after sunset---then when we jumped, we'd have lots of tiny frozen beads.

High today in Piedmont NC is around 33F - not so bad. The wind however at 10mph with all the dampness however makes it rather bitter. New tractor just sits there as the grounds are too soggy to get it out. sigh...

Today's project is enclosing the sides of the shed roof I added for the implements. Plus, I've got a couple emergency storage water barrels that need to be flushed and refilled.

Got a quote to seal and insulate my attic with spray foam. House is 60 yrs old and has next to no insulation in it. Wondering if it will make that much of a difference. I'm tired of a cold house.

Need to get coffee started brewing. 46° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 71° with lots of sun. Not much planned today.
Drew, I have seen the cement bag piling for a drive. Never looks good. Bags seem to take a long time to rot away.
Good Morning All.

30 here now, going to 57. All the animals are in their sheds.

Yesterday I built a new hut for the goats to cuddle up in, and had to move it with the tractor. Once I sat on the Kubota, I didn't want to get off. So I took a new roll of hay out to the riding horses, then switched to the bucket with the debris forks and cleaned up all the loose hay and fed that to the cows. Started getting dark and had to put my toys away.

Drew, those bags you talk about is known as "Rip-Rap". I have only used it on 12" or bigger pipes. Anything smaller it is easier to form and pour a concrete apron. I know you say it is low flow, but the Colorado river built the grand canyon. Any water is a force

Eric, nice pic. I have thought of letting critters in our back yard, but the dog would go ballistic that something was in his yard.

Wife has started buying snow clothes (boots, gloves, long underwear, etc...) for our trip to Ohio in March. She has never seen snow.

15 this morning and headed to 29 here in Gatlinburg. Home is 9 and headed to 20. Would be nice to stay in the mountains a couple more days. But the wife has to work tomorrow. So will be heading home here in a bit.

Drew. I've heard of the concrete bags but I always used 12" limestone rip rap. Although the pavers or a poured end cap would look much nicer than the bags or rip rap. A poured end cap would give you a wider crossing.

We are still completely snow covered and it's not going anywhere for 2-3 days. Dropping through the 20's today. This weekend is very uncertain right now, but I'm getting concerned.

Guys, finished is what happens when you die, up until then you have stuff to do!:D

Good morning! 33˚ heading to 55˚.

Eric your grass sure is very green but you might need to spread the fertilizer around or you will have spots of grass growing taller than other in the yard.

Drew here are a couple of ideas for you culvert ends. Will you be adding end sections to your culvert? http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/300/cd/cd71eee2-e1a7-43e1-a3df-dd479b531f0a_300.jpg
