Welcome!!! is that the neighborhood you live in? Do you have other land? Just curious why you need a tractor in a subdivision with lots that small? Or just wanted a toy?

And (i guess you answered with the OCD part) but why would you powdercoat all that stuff? I know its more durable but seems like a waste of time and money as the powercoat is probably costing half of what the tractors worth.

Cant deny it looks good though!!

That was the old house we sold. Cashed out to buy something with a bit more space

Cashed out of the car to build an attached 1100 square foot garage for the mrs.
I have a friend in the powder coat business and its cheap for me. Years ago, I used to strip my own parts with glass media and repaint. After a bad eye injury even after wearing goggles, I threw out the sandblaster and pass that crap work away to my friend's shop. I will have $600 into it including the muffler which was ceramic black coated. I like my things to look and perform really good. Around here, tractors sell as much as gold bars.

Well the friend in the biz makes more sense. Still more than I would pay though. But if it works for you thats all that counts.

Took down some trees, tore out bermuda grass, pulled up old fence posts and just cleaned up a bit. I will be spreading rock throughout the property amongst other things. A future 4000 sq ft building is in the works at the rear corner.

IMHO that's an awful lot to spend on cosmetics on a Vietnam recon tractor of unknown, and usually questionable, quality.

I already went through the tractor before buying it as well as during my ownership duration.
Aside from that, I am financially responsible for my decisions and in a very good position to fix or replace the thing if necessary. To each, to own.
It's unfortunate that Vietnamese recons get such bad rap. Not all of them are so terrible. You only hear of the few that will post the negative aspects of them on forums. You won't get me to bash on a Yanmar product. I am here to post the positive aspects of owning one of these babies. To think that this tractor was creating a legacy by feeding so many people in its past life. It will live a cushy life in its retirement years with us

Yep he was not the first owner. someone hadd it prior and used it and like he said i am sure powder coat was not the first thing he did when he backed it off the trailer.

You cant sit and wait and hold your breath the rest of you life for a part that may of been used and put on the tractor when it was getting rebuilt to fail. A part on anyones 35 year old yanmar tractor can fail at anypoint in its life.

My thoughts also. And why I didn't hesitate buying it ASIS. There was a whole lot full of Rebuilt/Refurbished tractors. The 2000 when I bought it everything worked at the time. So far the only thing that has gave out was the Starter. I had It rebuilt Local for 72.00$. Still Operates great and found a nearly brand new Dirt Scoop so I'm even putting more Hrs. on it than I was. Actually works better than I thought it would also so I'm putting a lot more Hrs. on it. Over 8yrs. and 625hrs. I can't complain. Oh! I did replace a axle seal that's it. Does it look Brand new No! but if I was able to get it powder coated I probably would. Still runs and operates as it should so I can live with the looks. Clemsonfor actually heard it run so that's no BS. I believe he said the Oil pressure came up Quicker cold and Started better than his refurbished. If it's Mechanical it can fail. Just IMO..

I picked up the wheels from the powder coat shop today and had the tires remounted. I think they turned out beautiful. The tire shop took great care and didn't even get one scratch on them! I have been away to NY the last two weeks and caught a bad head cold/persistent cough. The rest of the parts should be done soon.
