I feel kinda bad - I changed my travel plans, and am now sitting in the airport in Houston awaiting a flight home to VA, just so I could be home before the snow. It will be my first opportunity to plow with the new PT, and I just can't miss that! The rest of my area is bracing for some snow-bound tragedy, and I'm giddy like a kid before Christmas. I find it hard to admit I changed my travels just so I can push snow with the PT! I even pre-staged the PT in the garage so I can avoid cold start problems. I'm sure it's going to be an improvement over my old Bolens . . .

I guess I have the PT sickness.

Hope my flight works out!

Ok it is normal to want to play with your PT. Wanting snow, not so much. :)

It is perfectly normal to be like a kid just before Christmas while waiting for the snow storm. I take it from your location that you don't get to see a whole lot of snow at one time. The two feet that are forecast for your neck of the woods is probably the most snow at one time you have ever seen. Be giddy, be happy and above all else, be safe!

Have fun in the snow!!
After the 2009 winter with 24" of snow (twice) in the DC area, I bought a plow for my PT.

For the next three years I lived there, I used it once (for about 4"). Every other snow storm flowed around the outside of the "get DC hot air bubble". Manasses, VA would get a foot. Vienna, VA would get a dusting.

Now I live in the Seattle area, and we never get snow. Anyone need a plow?

I think you were smart to get an earlier flight. Because after tomorrow mid-day, most airports in the mid-atlantic will start shutting down.

I don't understand the "snow haters", esp. when it comes to a really big snow!
Sure the regular small snows can become routine and a small nusance, but the once in a long time, up to your …. snowstorm still bring the kid out in me!:D

It is perfectly normal around here. We hardly ever get snow, and everyone goes nuts. Hardly ever might be a stretch, but we get less then 10 snows a year and only one or two cover the grass.

Grass? Grass? What is that? I won't see my lawn until May at the earliest.

My wife and I love snow! The more the better. My wife and I watched the predictions for the east coast on the news tonight and she said "Why can't it be us?".

I went down to the local lake Sunday to see if maybe by chance there was enough ice to go ice fishing. Nope. There was still open water on January 17th!

The only one who caught anything that day was this three legged dog with a ham bone in his mouth standing by the boat launch! Lucky dog!

If you get what they are saying, get all the sleep you can on the flight home. You are going to be plowing every hour for awhile. All I can say is after the 1st hour or 2 and the fun turns into cold work stay warm.

I honestly watch the weather report daily just to see when the next storm is due, and how much to expect. I do have a little different reason though.

I'll bet the little PT425 will not have to be used hourly.

Looking at the forecast, they are saying 3" per hour, but the winds are going to be severe. Snow I don't mind (many times woke up as a kid with snow over the roof and digging out of the front door). But the wind? and the heavy snow (not the nice light Wyoming snow) you are going to be trapped in your house for a week with no power. Nope. Heading back to La La land this weekend. I hear it is 68 and sunny.

Same here, last year we only got one significant snowfall. Woke up this morning to more than that! We always get excited, we usually are lucky to get one snowfall a year thats worth getting the sleds out. When you have young kids it is definitely something to look forward to. Wish I had the JD running, but already had my truck out this morning, thats how I like to play in the snow!
