Pin-on attachments (< 300 lbs) for SCUT's - how difficult is it?

Not going to do the SSQA huh?

In setting mine up it wasn't a big deal taking the loader of and test fitting the SSQA. Granted it's not 255 pound grapple but my bucket is probably about the same weight as your bucket.

I also grabbed the bucket and slid it into the workshop from outside the barn.

For the grapple, just drive up and adjust the loader arms till you get get a pin in. If the other side isn't lined up justover either the loader arm up or down or drive forward or back etc.

If you aren't doing it on a frequent basis, it should be manageable. Would be easier with an assistant but we know that hardly ever works out.

I had a short rod just a little smaller diameter than the loader pins and used that to tap in or out as needed with a hammer.

Then again for about the same price of the up charge for Pin on you could convert to SSQA.

So for those of you who swap pin-on attachments on SCUT's how difficult (or easy) is it? ----------
If you haven't decided on a SSQA yet, take your bucket off drive the tractor around, and put the bucket back on, then you will know. :D

W/ the B7610 I'm giving up what is to me a significant amount of the limited loader capacity due to both the weight of the SSQA and the increased distance from the pins. And I don't envision any other FEL mounted attachments.

Well, if you aren't going with ssqa, then it shouldn't matter how hard it is to switch pin on attachments. After all. It is possible, even if it is not easy.

If you've got a level concrete surface, no big worries, takes time. <snip>

I swap my bucket for a frame I made up to hang my forks from - back and forth. (Tractor is a Kioti Ck20) I've found it isn't too big a deal to deal with it on uneven ground. <snip>

I had a B2660 with a pin-on pallet fork attachment. It took some time to switch from bucket to forks, but was worth the effort for certain jobs. <snip>

I started the thread for info from those that do it. I'm still trying to decide if it is worth putting a grapple on the B7610. Apparently others find occasional swapping no big deal. If all I got were horror stories I'd give up on it.

I have never changed a pin on bucket. I have SSQA. How would you guy say changing a pin on bucket compares to changing a backhoe bucket. How would it compare to hooking up a 3 point implement?
