VT maple syrup doesn't go bad. They used to serve it in tin cans, then plastic jugs, now they're going back to glass bottles. Freezing keeps it good, then thaw it out. We usually keep a quart in the fridgerator.
Then pour it on anything, moving or not.
Quebec may produce more, but VT is the platinum standard; then some states to our east come in close behind, like a sled dog, and the view is always the same!;)

Where's me emails?!
Here's a tip- don't sign in and out of TBN, I keep signed in all the time, and just put the laptop on hibernate- like a big grizzly, covered in maple syrup.... then I don't get 505 messages, but sometimes get the spinning circle waiting on the gremlins back at TBN HQ to ramp up the gerbil powered generator of replies.:confused3:

I'd re-check that recommendation. I've got Type II and the dietician recommended sourdough as my go-to bread, as long as it isn't 'white' sourdough... it's the carbohydrates [need to be low] versus the proteins [need to be high in comparison].

Your dearth of sourdough bread may soon be over, Mate!

Hmmmmmmm - non-white sourdough? Must be a down under thing, like Vegemite :eek: Please post the recipe

I'm getting so fed up with these no email notices that I decided to boy-cot the Oscars until it's fixed!
Now it's time for some apple crisp a la mode and watch another exciting episode of "what did my Governor say now" and since I cant stand political correctness anyways, I'll enjoy it.

Mate, I just Googled 'Whole Wheat Sourdough Bread' and heaps of recipes came up. I buy a loaf from a local bakery in town which, IMHO, is the best way to go for me.

There was one recipe for 'Honey Whole Wheat Sourdough' that specifically said it was "great for TOAST".

Just for the heck of it, what is for supper in Australia tonight?

My wife made some kind of noodle dish tonight with snap peas, etc.

Nothing special. I just went with a small chicken schnitzel... pretty much 'single bachelor food'.

I just noticed the horses in you avatar. I have 2 myself - a registered paint (for sale as she threw my wife and broke her, whfe's, leg) and a 1/2 Arab and !/2 Paint, the Arab comes through more than the paint.:D

Your horses look a bit different than up here. I was going to guess quarter horse, but the seem a little better built. If I may ask what breed are they?

Sorry Mate but my avatar is a 'generic' photo (from the intertubes) entitled "There's One In Every Crowd". I've always thought it appropriate.

I do have a couple of horses though. Both are thoroughbred geldings, one I ride and the other is his companion... they're the initial reason I bought my wee piece of paradise and ended up having a tractor... which lead me to TBN.

There's something serendipitous in that. :)

There is nothing like being atop your trusted steed with the wind in your hair (If you have any and which I don't ) The world and your are at peace. :cool2::D

Now back on topic, I am still not getting notifications and toast is toast (I had biscuits and gravy this AM), should we talk US politics???????, or the Broncos:thumbsup:

We've been mostly discussing modern toasters and their results.

As to US Politics? There's a separate forum for that sort of nonsense and, on an 'international' tractor site, I personally wouldn't be wandering over there.

As to the Broncos? Well, the NRL season hasn't started yet and I barrack for the Dragons... Perhaps a Queenslander will be happy to discuss their chances this year.

Oh, and I still hold out some hope that the email notices will return.

Still no email messages here but I did watch Australian baseball the other night and it was the best game I had seen in years. Took me back to baseball in the states in the 1960's and I didn't want the game to end. Chicken schnitzel, great baseball and Foster's. You guys are living the good life. All I got was this lousy toaster...and no email notifications.
