Tractors and wood! Show your pics

Me too Rob, cutting next years wood. This little ex military trailer is how I move the wood (from thinning) up to where I "work it up". I find it better to put wheels on the wood, I do skid it out of the woods to a landing, but this was harvested in fall and dragging it on my roads is hard on them. With very little snow here, I'll be back in the woods and leave the rest of what I have down on the landing for if or when it snows enough to keep me out of the woods.

You guys can move a lot of wood with those farm trailers and big tractors. Makes me jealous.

I have been cutting and skidding firewood all week. The going has been great for that here. But looking at the weather coming up today or tomorrow will be the end of skidding for a while - back to more rain.

I'm working on the year after next. Don't know why I keep cutting but you never know what might happen so it is good to be ahead.

A couple years ago, I got sent out of town many times for work. I got behind on my firewood and it bit me a year later. I've got a whopping 3 weeks worth of seasoned wood left. So get to it every chance you get. ;)

My preferred method is to skid to the landing,

then lift the firewood logs over my wagon and cut them into firewood lengths,

Then it's VERY easy to roll the splits right onto my splitter,

with NO lifting at all! And, it's just so much faster!

You guys and your snow. I don't think you could find a flake on my property today.

Still have plenty to share in Minneapolis. Come'n get all you want! :)

Seeing it melting is nice. We had some ice on the driveway that's gone now.
