have a problem with a riding lawn mower. it was given to my father. its in ok condition. problem we are having is the tire. he's taken off 3 of the tires to fix n put air in but the last stubborn tire will not come off. one of the screws or bolt thingy i don't know what u call it will not budge. has anyone had this problem b4? we've tried sprays and lubricants whacking it.....nothing. if anybody has any ideas on how to deal with this problem I'll be happy to listen.

thank you

Add a pipe to make a longer handle on your wrench/scocket for more leverage.

Maybe some one put lock tight on threads, yes heat will help or impact.

All of the above.

youll have to put heat to it or put a large sprocket puller on it and hope you don't ruin the wheel

One thing no one ever says and I see it all the time is that you need to use a 6 point socket and not a 12 point socket. As a home owner and not a tradesman, a lot of the socket kits you buy only contain 12 points and I seem to always see guys round the heck out of nuts and bolts with those things.

I'd spray PBlaster, whack it a couple of times, put a good tight 6 point socket on it w/ a pipe extension, whack it BOTH ways, to tighten AND loosen, spray, repeat a few hours later. But then I don't usually have a torch handy to heat with.

If all the rest came out easy enough and just this one is stubborn, it probably got cross threaded and you're gonna end up breaking it off to get the wheel off. If it has enough others to hold it on, go for it and just run without the one. If it would be an issue having one missing, leave it alone and dismount the tire with it still on the mower. It is a little awkward at first but once you get the hang of it, they aren't that hard to dismount that way.

Be very careful adding heat to tire rim assembly. Can be deadly under certain conditions. Look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBUVzgCHHuA. Sometimes when the nut becomes rounded and the socket won't catch I've welded a larger nut to the existing nut. Must be more careful next time.
