Good morning!!!!

All the years working as a mechanic I never had a problem pulling a steering wheel off.

Loosen the nut. Put your knees under the bottom part pushing up. Grab the top of the wheel firmly with one hand and pull up hard putting pressure on with your knees at the same time. Get a decent sized hammer. The nut should be flush with the top of the thread. ONE good whack on the nut with the hammer and the wheel will be loose. It is easy to do. No need to whack whack whack. Just one good blow and you will not damage the nut or thread. No need for any pullers.

Good morning. No sun again, although it's hard to complain about that, or the wind, when the first week in February is giving temperatures of 10C/50F at 9am.

As a respectful amount of time has now gone by since my rain jacket passed away, I'm out this morning looking for a replacement. My wife has done the research on where to go, so I've a feeling I'm about to be suckered into a shopping expedition that will embrace a lot more than outdoor clothing.

Drew, if you ask your helper (with good knees) to follow Alien's advice, it should move. If you want to do it yourself, perhaps you could make a custom puller. Get a flat plate of steel and drill a hole through the middle. Tack a nut below the hole on one side. A bolt from above can then be screwed down through the nut to apply pressure in the centre and give you the upward pull. Get 3 U bolts and drill holes in the plate for these so that they fit under each arm on the steering wheel and through the plate.

Loosen the nut.

perhaps this applies to me...:D

thanks for all the suggestions. Going to go eyeball it again. So Alien and Eric you think I can scare it out of there, eh?
we shall see...stay tuned.

still dark out so can't see how flooded things are but this system has been a dumper. I bet we've had over five inches of rain. Will be interesting to see if my driveway is under water, but maybe it came down slowly enough last night to dissipate, but it will be weeks before things dry out.

a much colder 39 degrees not going up much today in a colder trend. Looks like it's snowing from Virginia to Maine right now

Snizzle sort of between snow and sleet looks like little ball when observed up close. The close proximity to snow and sleet therefore Snizzle. Hope this helps and my weather geek is showing

I think they just fixed a broken email notification system and lots of emails went out. I don't have it on so I have no idea.
