700 hrs. - Coolant leak-replaced water pump- The dealer stated that they had to remove the front axle to replace the water pump.

Wow that part doesn't sound right at all

How much xtra does the cab option run on these 4320's?

The prices seem to vary quite a bit, but from what I've seen the cabs models go for about $3000-$6000 more.

I picked up a 2013 JD 4720 last fall with 575 hours off of machinefinder.com. It was out of Iowa so I had it shipped to me. Still had factory warranty until December 2016. It's an open station with air ride seat, all the extras like cruise control, ethrottle, ... Also came with a new H180 loader wth quick connect hydraulics. They also put new R4 tires on it (originally had R1's) and sent me the attachment hardware for a 485 backhoe (frame mounting kit and power beyond). I already had the backhoe that I had on my 3720 I since sold. Total cost was $27,200 which included shipping. Sold my 2007 3720 for $23k.
I looked for about 7 months and checked various websites (tractor house, Craigslist, equipment finder,...) before I found this one. It has been a great tractor so far. Just did 600 hour service (625 hours on it now). Filters were clean and all seems to be in working order. Love the 4x20 series, you can just do more with it and the stability on hills is much better with the tires spaced out. Still have about 11 months on the warranty but hope I don't need it. Good luck in your search.

Thank you for sharing jloven. On Sunday, I took a drive and looked at the 08 4320 shown in an earlier post and it was a beauty. I could not believe it was a 2008 model. It was near perfect and met all the variables I was looking for. We agreed on a price, but i told him I had to clarify with the wife and the bank. Sunday night I discussed it with the wife and received her blessing. On Tuesday, I contacted the bank to verify the loan I was already approved for and my banker didn't get back to me. I figured it was due to snow storm we were getting. As a result, I decided to wait until Wednesday, as I assumed there would be time to contact the seller. This is where it went south. I received a text from the seller on Tuesday night stating the tractor had been sold during the day of the storm. The buyer picked it up Tuesday night. Needless to say, I am heartbroken.

Finding the right tractor is like getting the lock combination right. As buyers we have expectations/variables that all need to fall in place before we feel good about the purchase, such as price, condition, options, distance, etc. When we figure out that lock combination we need to remember not waste time. I am disappointed in myself for not pursuing it earlier.

My search will continue until I find another one.

Don't beat yourself up. Experienced the same on various occasions over the years. Sometimes you know it's a good deal but just takes time to pull the trigger.
I had the same happen in the spring. Found a 2013 JD 4720 with a 485 backhoe with only 60 hours on it. Dealer in Ky had it for sale for a few weeks and I went to take a look at it. Price was several thousand lower than similar tractors without a backhoe. I was ready to get it but was trying to decide if I really wanted to upgrade. I had a 2007 3720 with 448 backhoe and 400 hours and he was willing to trade for $8k. That was a Friday afternoon so I Told him I would call him first thing Monday. Called Monday and he sold it Saturday to a guy in Florida sight unseen!
It took four months but found the one described in last post. Things usually workout for the best. Keep looking, you will find what u want.

That really sucks :irked:. I know how it goes you spend all the time looking and getting everything together and you pull the trigger and bam it is gone. :mur: I had the same thing hapen to me before on other pieces of equipment. Then you have to start all over again. Sometimes it works out for the better and you end up getting a better deal then you would have. Here is wishing you luck on your continued search.

Next time you find what you want you might consider a small deposit to hold the tractor. That should get you time to get the financing worked out.

My sentiments exactly especially for what appears to be a really good bargain. Learned that the hard way many years ago. Just keep looking, I'm sure another good deal will come along eventually, maybe even better.

I don't accept deposits for stuff I've sold on CL. The only time I'll do a deposit is if I want to buy something from a dealer...never a private seller. With a dealer, you get some documentation and have recourse. Private sellers can accept the deposit and still sell the item. Then you have to go through a real hassle if the seller doesn't want to give the deposit back. Granted, most sellers (I hope) would have a degree of integrity...

I agree with Roy, if you give a private seller a deposit to hold something you better get something in writing if you hope to get your money back if something happens.
