RickB, have you seen any issues with the common-rail systems with the Bosch CP3 pump and leak downs after sitting, causing an extended crank or operator having to work the priming pump before every start?

Also found a small leak at the glass sediment filter, which was just a loose fitting.

Tied up a fuel can and submerged the disconnected lines in fuel. Tractor started quick. Idled until temperature came up and KSB switched off. No smoke and no putter!

Can't believe i didn't bypass the tank and try that sooner. I was so caught up in thinking it being a pump/timing issue. Should of remembered K.I.S.S., KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

Good find! You were too close to the problem for some time. Going back to scratch and working forward always makes sense, when nothing else does. BTW, I'd still pop test your injectors. The pump is fixed, BUT the injectors could be leaking or have a bad spray pattern, which could lead to diluting your oil and scored cylinder wall(s).

No, we have little experience with that system to date.
