Went to look at a Case 580CK today

It really does seem to be a decent deal. I ran a Case 580CK for a little bit during a summer job in the mid seventies. I kind of like the fact that the boom swing is foot pedals.

If that was around here I would buy it at that price ' just because '
Foot pedal swing and 4 lever Fords f*** me up big time tho. I was brought up on JD controls.

I think I'm going back this week to take a second look...and maybe get some pictures. I wanted to check out the FEL again, it mat have just been me but it seemed like the loader had a hard time raising the front of the machine off of the ground.

I know I'll have to invest in some bigger wrenches and maybe a 3/4 drive socket set (this kills me because I used to be a MAC tools dealer)

Another thing that bothers me I don't have a place right now to keep it out of the weather.

I would not hesitate if it is the right backhoe for you, or it could be gone. A year or so in the weather won't be that bad as long as you get it some cover soon. Good luck! It does sound like a screaming deal.

No, I decided to pass on it. I ended up buying an LS R4047 with a backhoe.
