What size bar do you have on your ms660? I've been looking at a ms662 with a 25" bar.

I would definitely recommend a MS661
I normally run at 25" bar. Since these saws have the large feeling dogs your looking like 22-23" of usable bar. The saw is very well balanced with a 25" bar. The power is fantastic even after 5 years it still makes me giggle and grin ear to ear. I've heard the new saw really rips i run RS full chisel most of the time and the saw doesn't bog out with the full bar buried in the wood apply pretty good down pressure.

I run a 36" bar for the big stuff generally run RMF semi chisel full skip chain as as this wood is often hollow and dirty. I do use RSF chain if I'm cutting wood in my wood buck.

I don't want to push my luck this year. I have a great wife. I'm about to pay off my tractor and I think she's going to let me get a new ZD326 or a ZD1211-60 this spring. She went with me to the dealer last Friday. I really want to get rid of my Turd Cadet zero turn

Smart move. With a MS660 you can't be complaining anyway. :D

With a list of $1800 for an 880 even I'd have to think real hard on that one. Especially since you've got a mint 660.

No I'm not complaining the 660 is a heck of a saw. I really do love it. so much so that i really have no use for more than a 12" bar on my 361. I rarely use the 361 for anything bigger than 10" any more unless I've run the 660 out of fuel and dont want to fill it up again. Then I run both saws dry and call it a day.

I really have little use for a saw that size here in Michigan. I was really just trying to gauge my wife's response ;)

Maybe someday I'll find a used MS880 or 090 at a good price and then hang it over the fire place as a conversation piece. Saws to me are like firearms you can never have too many.

in reality I'll probably add a nice pole saw or top handle arborist saw before an 880

Sad. I believe this big dump of snow ended my logging for the winter

We got an inch. Have about 3 or 4 on the ground.

What part of Nova Scotia are you in ga ?? My mothers great grand father was a boat builder in Lunenburg long ago.
