 Congratulations! When you stand back and look at what you have built for yourself and your bride, relish in the sense of pride.

I am so happy for you and your beautiful bride. What a wonderful day, what a heck of a lot of work to do to get settled. Yet, it is now your official residence. Very, very cool. Congrats.

Congrats! I know you've put in an extreme amount of hard work on your home.

also glad you are over the frustrations the local yokels placed on you in the form of building codes. they are probably down there right now trying to figure out how you overcame their hurdles and voting in more so that the next guy might throw in the towel when faced with such absurdities.

The report I heard is that they are still looking for that inspector. Seems to have disappeared. I wonder what happened to him?

Mr. Fuller The project looks good and Glad finally finished.
Maybe have a party and invite all the naysayers and inspectors as well the encouragers to day of celebration.

Weather wise how has this winter been?

Saw where Flagstaff road had been closed and maybe snow in your area.

Now the next project.

Ken,

The Winter wasn't too bad. We did get a few medium snowfalls. One was about 20 inches. It's all melted now and beautiful out, though I'm sure we have more cold coming.

Several projects lined up. Currently I'm planting 6 fruit trees - peach, pear, Bing cherry, Rainer cherry, Granny Smith apple and honey crisp apple. Then I need to get busy on a drip system for watering them.

Tied into the drip system is another project - rain water collection. I have a 1100 gal tank and all the parts, I just need to put it all together.

Then I'm working on installing a zip line for the grandkids (and me :)). A couple of the boys will be here with me for a couple weeks this Summer. They will be 9 and 7, so I'm sure they will keep me busy.

Hopefully this Summer we will start the full length front porch with a 2nd floor deck. Then there's the back porch/mudroom project, then the upstairs bathroom, then the greenhouse, and on and on.

I officially retired at year-end but I'm working 3 days a week, training my replacement. In June I'll cut it back to 2 days a week.

If you're ever in the area, give me a holler and come check the place out.

Contrary to popular belief, I did not bury him. 😄
