Cut a swarth going down the hill to get a view to the north. Up on the top were small trees.

The trees got bigger as I worked my way down.

The last tree looking back up the hill.

The view from the door yard. That is Burke Mountain if you know this area.

And from inside. The hard to see pointed peak on the left is Bald Hill. 24 miles north.

Looks good to me!!

I cut/harvested the logs/milled the lumber, and built a new hunting blind last summer,

Problem was, I couldn't see very well, in the spot I wanted to be able to see in!

That blue spruce just HAD to go, so here's the after,

Good thing I did it too, because in the fall, that far end of the field, right against the tree line, is "exactly" where I shot my buck! lol

Looks good! I have many fond memories of VT -- used to ski Sugarbush and live in the area. How much snow have you gotten this year?

Thanks. According to todays paper St J has had 23.1" to date compared with a normal to date of 61". Right now as you can see in the pictures I took today there isn't much snow left and lots of bare ground but there is lots of hard ice in the woods - Not fun.

That's a heck of a nice hunting "blind" there Rob, but I don't understand why you don't have more window space on the side where the door is?? You might have missed seeing a 14ptr on that end of the field last year lol!!!
