Reasonable? Nothing about a truck that is listed at 96k is reasonable. When earth would anyone spend half that on a truck? Waste of $ and surely not worth it.. You think you can get 0%financing 😀

I stopped by my Ford dealer today to look at an f-250 xlt 6.2 gas they had out front. Nice truck. It's stickered for $47k but they had a "Presidents' Day price" of $39898 on it. A good start but I figured they could do better. Salesman came out and talked to me and I commented that most people were getting 10-13 off Super Duty's currently and he acted like I was crazy. I went inside to run the numbers just to see and they were only willing to come off the truck another $400. No thanks. I swear I can't get a deal with Ford to save my life. I've tried for years!

I found that out also with our local Ford dealer on a 2016 F150 thus my purchase of a 2016 Dodge ram 2500 laramie.I bought my 3/4 ton ram with comparable options for the same price of the F150.New truck prices have gotten totally absurd.

It could be regional... we made our best deal after 6 weeks of back and forth at multiple dealers even using a family connection to the owner of a Ford Dealer far away...

Arrived at a price we could live with and ordered the truck...

So... out of the blue Ford sends a $750 coupon good on any new truck purchase... think it was related to all the time spent on build my Ford...

Dealer said OK... so that was not expected... the car Fairy sprinkled a little Ford Dust our way... kind of like what happened when we were on the fence adding a second Kubota... that Owner Loyalty rebate made it happen...

Buy it used and save thousands as Ford does not hold resale. Even if I traded it in at a Ford dealer.

But you didn't pay sticker price for it, now did you? ;)

$800 in a pile back in 1978... it was a basket case and the cowl section was so rusted I could put my hand through the sheetmetal and anything that was wood was long gone...

In all sincerity... I have owned and do own many cars... currently have 50 and I have never sold a car for less than I paid... and the ones I have sold are all worth even more today... 1968 Z28 Camaro, 1968 Mustang 4spd Fastback, 1971 Cuda with 340, several GTO convertibles and several Firebirds...

I posted before about my boss going to the local Ford Dealer and buying a brand new 2006 Ford GT off the showroom floor for 160k... he enjoyed that car for 5 years and sold it for 210k... if that doesn't speak volumes about Ford resale value... and it wasn't even a truck.

My 1930 Pickup on SF Bay Treasure Island... did all the mechanical, body and paint work in my parents driveway...

The 1928 Sport Coupe next to it was also mine at one time... I sold it unfinished.

Where do you get that bs? I have gotten top dollar for every one of my trucks at trade in. But then, I take care of mine...

I was talking with my dealer in NC last week. He just ordered 3, 2016 F150 Shelby's. 100 K and up. Says they won't last long.
