Buying Advice Help me find a tractor to manage my 40 wooded acres

The manual for my T110 FEL has a lift capacity listed for the 1520 at 770 pounds.

Is that weight capacity at the pins? Or is it at the tip of the bucket or 24" @ full height? I think my 1708 loader is rated for 800# ish, and it's the older version. I've lift at least 750# over 5' without feeling like I was straining anything with my 1715. I did have to have my BH as ballast though.

The L3240 has a lot going for it, but for a little more money, another earlier poster found this gem: other than a warranty, it might as well be new. Lots of useful features, like SSQA, good loader, and all the Grand L niceties that deserve consideration.

All of you have given me enough to go on. The TBN community is amazing. Over 100 replies to my first post over the last three days!

I should have additional funds in the next month or two to be able to buy a used tractor for cash. My buddy is going to lend me money in exchange for occasional use of the tractor. As a bonus, he's a great mechanic and will help me with any repairs. Once I have the money in hand, I can start shopping on the used market.

I'll check back when I have more questions or post to the specific sub-forums. Once I buy, I'll be sure to post some pics of my new toy.

I thought that L3240 had been a good deal, but this Boomer 40 is excellent! That's actually an LS R4041.... Excellent tractor, I owned two of them a few years back.

That tractor should meet all your needs for awhile, AND it came with a 5 yr warranty, so it should still have a coupe years left.
