I need an AR-15

I have to disagree with this statement. There are more AR's available than ever and stock is high with prices that are very reasonable. Post Sandy Hook shooting, I would've agreed with murphy.

You are correct.

While I don't manufacture firearms, I am one of the few machine shops that doesn't (at least in my geographic region).
Every firearms store from small to large has AR-15's in stock.

I wish we could in New York State;had to settle for a tricked out Ruger Mini 14.New they are selling for $6-700 for a base gun.

Thanks for the input and for keeping it clean. One of my sons-in-law said to steer clear of plastic ARs for some reason. Said he had one. Other son-in-law said to build my own like he did. Between them they have quite an arsenal. But, this is Kentucky.

If you want one that really rocks,check out Rock River Arms, made real good, of course the other proven one is the Colt, never had issues using it in wet hot and dusty conditions for two years.

I went with the S&W MP-15. Not the sport version but the Magpul accessorized version. MIL-Spec. I definitely like the Magpul grips and stock. MSRP is $1259 but I found it a couple hundred bucks cheaper at a local gun store. MBus rear sight folds down so you can use with or w/o scope.

Lots of choices out there. I was set on a Colt until I came across this one... I think a little better value.

I was thinking about stopping by this company's Greenville SC store to check out their Ar-15s. The company's Web site says that "non-serialized merchandise cannot be picked up at the Greenville Store." What does this mean?
