Wife and I were at a major shopping mall last week. We walked by a Kate Spade purse store. I hate to admit that I know what that is but being married for 42 years and with two daughters.......anyway. So my wife goes in and comes out all exited. They had just the purse she had been looking for. The right color, model, etc., just perfect. Plus it was 40% off and another 20% off with the coupon she had. Of course I didn't care if she bought it but like me she is tight with her money and though she wanted the purse she just could not justify, to herself, buying it. After telling her several times to go ahead and buy it and her looking all forlorn and sad about spending the money (maybe $120 for a $200+ list price) she looked at me and jokingly said that if she bought it she guessed I could buy another pistol.

WHAT!!

Did I hear that correctly?

Now I am not one know for being quick thinking but for once I rose to the occasion. "Well, I have been wanting an AR-15." I slyly remarked.

Now my wife is a very intelligent person. Very quick thinking too. Spend thirty years teaching middle school kids, five years teaching gifted/talented kids, and five years teaching teachers and you learn to think and act quickly.

But for once I had her as I (in my mind) leaped and danced with joy.

I even carried the bag to the car for her.

Apparently SHE doesn't know or realize the price of the gun SHE gave him permission to buy. (or maybe SHE does)
Wait till SHE finds that out and SHE will need accessories to go with that purse.

We all joke. But we all know the position RSKY is in. He was doomed as soon as she mentioned the purse. But it's fun for us to think we are in control and got it figured out in our favor!!!!
