Tractor
massey ferguson
Hello everyone, 1st post. I was in the market for a small tractor maybe even backhoe too. Ive always had a really good relationship with the local stihl/kioti dealer, they quoted me 25000$ Canadian for the cs2410. I was humming and hawing as I'm not in the financial situation to be willy nilly with 25k. For the heck of it I called the massey/kabuta dealer 15mins away. Unfortunately for me I don't speak French and everyone there only speaks French except the owner that rarely takes calls from window shoppers. After 5 mins he says " tell you what come down and I'll take care of you and get you sorted out, I promise to make it worth it" 15mins later he is showing me a last yrs 1710 with a backhoe and says " that's my last one from last year, I have 35 tractors coming in 2 weeks. Gimme 18,500.00$ and it's yours." I put a down payment down to hold it for a bit cause I have done zero research on the the massey ferguson. But I have to make a decision soon. I have a acre of landscaping to to do, along with small maple syrup operation and I'm getting the MMM for the 3 acres of lawn I have to cut, and I need to collect 6 cords a season for the Woodstove. I'm lookin for reassurance on the tractor it's self, cause the price is 35 % cheaper than any competition.

That's a great price. Most of the tractors in that class are pretty close in specs and capabilities, so it really will come down to personal preference and price. I've had a great experience with my two Massey Ferguson tractors, and I think that for a SCUT (sub compact) you're making a good choice.

NOW just go learn French LOL

Ha! That's what my French teacher used to say, but if I did I would have spoke to a salesman and not got that price. So ignorance saves me a few grand this time around lol. I called my normal guy (kioti) and told him the price after 10 sec silence he just said " are telling me the truth?" I can't come anywhere close to that. Maybe 24,500$ but I'd have to call kioti and haggle.

Sounds real good to me too, that is a nicely made tractor for a great price.

I have a 1710 and it's a great tractor. To reassure yourself, go look at a Kubota Bx and then look at the 1710...you will sleep well. The MF is a lot more tractor for the money.

I paid 17,900 as the cash price. So you did well, even probably better with the exchange rate factored in...

I think the exchange is about 40% so it's about 12K loader and backhoe and MMM mulch

Yeah. I'm just starting to wonder if there's some defect or something to it. Again I wasn't in desperate need of one, it was just window shopping type of thing. But with this deal idk how I could pass it up. I'm thinking just going bananas now. Backhoe thump, piranha bar, ect
