Question though. I asked about a thumb on the backhoe, he said it might be a big deal cause there's no release valve on the backhoe. ?? Is it a big deal to install

The cb65 is made to have a mechanical thumb installed. There is already the pin point on the backhoe. Doing a hydraulic thumb is a whole other deal and probably no cost effective compared to the mechanical thumb.

The thumb on my tractor in the pics above is a strictly mechanical one. That has worked fine for me.
