Eddie, I guess it all depends on the wife. I bought my first wife a vacuum cleaner for her birthday once it did not go over well but at least she couldn't shoot me with it! (she wouldn't have liked the AR either) My current and forever wife would not bat an eye if I wanted to buy another gun, truck etc., she may not want a $200 purse but a new embroidery machine.... that's another issue.

I dont even try to understand why buying a purse with someone elses name on it is a big thing . But thats the world they live in , they have to keep up appearances . I cant complain my wife didnt care when I bought my tractor .

I was on an elevator in the city and there were two women and man heading out to lunch on the elevator also...the women were talking about a purse and the man rolled his eyes and made a comment.....it's a frigging expensive purse. I said something which tipped them off that I knew what it was...one of the women said something more about it to me and I said yes, my wife has one maybe two...she said "you are a good husband, " and I said, laughing, no, I'm the second husband. Her last husband paid for them.
