As mentioned above you can add a cylinder to offset the blade. Sometimes I do that but for most of the projects I do the stock offset link is in place. My favorite modification is adding the angle cylinder in the pics. It has worked great for many years.

What size and type cylinder? I just ordered HBL 72-2. Do you need additional 3rd function to operate??

Helitech, very nice. Which of the Agri Supply cylinders did you use? How do you like it so far?

I've thought about doing this, and like the idea of having any offset angle within the cylinder's throw length. The adjustment on the stock link arm is pretty limited due to the pre-drilled link pin holes. One thing I'd worry about, though, is having a heavy enough cylinder. With the blade offset, catching the outboard end on a hidden stump, etc. can generate pretty severe force. I'd also need to add a third set of rear remotes, as I already have top 'n tilt.

Really like that mod, John. Don't know if it's just my particular HBL84-2, but nearly every time I go to change the approach angle I have to struggle with getting both link pins to line up in their holes.

Helitech, thanks for posting. How has the offset cylinder worked out for you in actual use? Would you use the same size and source again?

I noticed you've added what look to be spacers on the rod. It's this to prevent over-retraction? Source?
