This ford 6710 ran all last year great. We parked it for the winter and this year nothing at all it will crank but wont start and no fuel smoke coming out of the stack. It has fuel all the way to feed line of the injection pump from the filter housing and will push through that line with the primer. But I cracked open the injector line on the top of the pump and tried to bleed out any air in the lines and it wouldn't even push fuel out.

Should I try to bleed at another portion of the injector lines or injectors.????? any help or ideas would be awesome thanks

Many times the fuel system is not delivering fuel due to a plugged fuel tank vent, a clogged tank outlet strainer, a pinched or damaged fuel line, clogged fuel filter, bad lift pump, fuel cutoff lever needs adjusting etc. Verify that this is not the case before you do anything else.

Thanks for the info is there a way to check the lift pump the plunger or primer works great on it but didn't know if there was a way to check. Also how is the best way to adjust the fuel cutoff switch I have never been inside a injection pump I usually send them out.
thanks a bunch

If the left pump plunger causes the pump to expel fuel from the lift pump then it's most likely OK. I think that plunger actuates the same diaphragm in the pump. What about the other checks? Don't screw with the pump itself until you check out the more common problems. The shutoff lever on the pump is full back to cut off fuel IIRC so make sure the lever is full forward when the cutoff is in the run mode.

I have fuel all the way to the inlet of the injection pump free flowing with activation of the plunger . New fuel filter petcock has already been pulled and cleaned fuel shutoff has been worked and is all the on from the external level. Cracked the font injection line like on a 12v Cummings to bleed air and gets alittle fuel from there but no much fuel comes out just don't know how it could vapor lock from sitting.

Diesel won't normally vapor lock as it has a pretty low vapor pressure. Make sure all the fittings are tight on the fuel delivery lines. Is your fuel filter good to go. Does your tank drain fuel well. There is a strainer at the outlet that can crud up. Pinched lines? Tank outlet valve opened? Bleed entire system starting at the filter and then each line ahead of injector connection. Open the throttle about half way and then try to start. If there is white vapor coming out of the exhaust you are getting fuel but it's not burning. If no white vapor, no fuel to injectors.
