Hustler,Bigdog,Snapper or Cub Cadet?

I am in the market ro buy a ztr for a 1acre lot. I have looked at these mowers and am having a hard time deciding on which one.

Hustler Raptor 42 inch with Kohler engine 2799.00

Big dog made by Hustler 42 inch with Kawasaki engine 3199.00

Snapper 42 inch with Briggs and Stratton Pro 2799.00

Cub Cadet 46 with Kohler engine 2799.00

All have fabricated decks
Which one?

I have been happy with my Snapper Pro. Just make sure what ever you pick has a pump for each drive wheel and the higher the tip speed the better the cut.

The Kawasaki engine would get my voted.

I just replaced a cub (turd) cadet that ive hated for the last 10 years although it looks like they have made some improvements.
My deck fell off had to be replaced under warranty. Seat pan cracked welds on front axle cracked.
I think the raptor sd with Kaw is closer to $4k this might only be larger deck dont remember.
I wont buy any more Modern Tooling Disaster (MTD) products again.
Big dog at TSC doesnt look bad i havent look at snaper pro but i think its similar if not identical to the simplicities which look halfway descent also.

From Texas..
I have a heavy duty commercia Scag Turf Tiger with the Kawasaki liquid cooled engine. This will be my 3rd year with No problems. It has the 61" velocity plus deck.

I think TSC handles the Bad Boy mowers.
Big Dog mowers are made by Excel Ind. (Hustler)
Residential and Commercial Zero Turn Radius Lawn Mowers and Tractors | BigDog Mower Co.

your right i got confused between Big Dog and Bad Boy

Looking at the image on excells home page it looks like they share a lot of components. the seat on the alpha looks better and also has Led's both entry level models have the same EZT transmission.

Edit: I think i like the color scheme on the Big Dog

all of your models you listed are consumer grade...personally would stay away from Raptor & cub cadet from comments others have made. i'd do some more homework checking out models between consumer grade & commercial...with so many out there, you might find something more durable than what Lowes etc has to offer. bad boy has a number of model grades...having said that, my neighbor has had chronic problems with his. if you're a good mechanic & willing to stay on top of things, you might be satisfied with bottom of line zero turn. i 2nd on going with kawi over kohler. a lot of it is quality of deck...those lightweight stamped ones to me just don't hold up. best!

We have a 5-6 year old Hustler fastrak and a 3 year old Ferris, both with kawasaki motors. Between the family and rentals, we cut 14 properties a week. Both have been really good units and wouldn't trade either one. IMO, the ferris shocked forks are overrated.

Why are you picking a small deck? Zero turns are extremely maneuverable, so unless you have a gate issue, go bigger.

Kawasaki engine get's my vote as well, the 42" should be fine for 1 acre. I'm using a 54" on 4 acres, i slow down at times just to get more seat time.

I would stay away from the Cub Cadet. The other three would be OK. I would consider which one is easier to get worked on. You will probably be better served if you can get hydo on each wheel rather than a combo unit. Kawasaki motors can be great but all models are not the same. Plenty of Kohler and Briggs out there that do just fine. I would not get hung up on it.
