Snake in the bush

Went to turn water faucet on to water tomatoes and okra. It was dark out and I spotted this fella. Around here we call pretty much any snake that isn't poisonous a chicken snake. He was on the faucet slithering onto a shrub.

Snakes eat rats and mice. Snakes are OK because I hate rats. My grand dad used to catch them (black snakes) and turn them loose in his barn. If he caught you killing a good snake you were in for a whoppin.
