Not that much, the Eco diesel only adds $3,000.

My truck has 220,000 miles with a 5.3 gas motor. The motor leaks oil, but runs good. The rest of the truck is falling apart. My Grandpa has a knack for junk trucks. The motors mostly gas all run, but the trucks will never again be road worthy.

Getting sprayed with undercoat the day you bring them home (During the Summer is better) is key. My 04 had 219,000 miles on it when I traded it off last March. Body was in perfect condition. My 2011 got sprayed last fall, will get done again this summer.

When I was looking at new 2016 ram trucks I believe the diesel (cummins)option was around $8,900 plus.

Rust isn't a problem here. There are plenty of 80's or older vehicles in service around here. I bought my truck used, and it must have came from up north.
