I have a 235 with a lift problem. it has a loader and it works fine. however the lift will operate but wont bear weight, i can push it down with my foot. it will raise but wont stay. Any ideas where to start?

put something on the three point hitch and raise it. Shut of the tractor and see how fast it drops. If it takes longer than15 minutes to drop the lift cylinder seals are OK. If it drops immediately or quicker than 15 minutes the lift cylinder seals are most likely at fault. the control valve may not close completely and that could cause the problem.
