Hi Guys,
I did some searching on the site and I am still confused as to what tractor I just picked up and could use some help. It is a yellow industrial tractor with a loader and backhoe, 3cyl diesel, power assist steering, ( steering assist shaft runs paralell with the crank shaft on the left side of the engine. 6 forward gears and 4 reverse, manual transmission.
The serial numbers are

KD211K------------it could be K0211K, the second digit I think is a "D" but could be an "0"
6F14B
C509309

The KD2 or KO2 is confusing me. The rest of the digits seem to make sense. "1" corresponds to a diesel, The next "1" corresponds to no PTO which is correct, and the last "K" corresponds to the 6/4 manual reversing transmission is correct.

From what I have learned I thought I had it nailed down to a 1966, June 14th, day shift tractor, but one of the other post I have read says that the serial number being 509309 is too high of a number to be a 1966 model.

The serial number starting in 509 seems to indicate a newer tractor than a 1966.

Sorry, No pics yet, just picked it up and it seems to be a good old tractor so far but I would like to know what it is so I can try and get some manuals. the guy who sold it to me thought it was a 1972 355o but that doesn't seem right.

Any help would be appreciated.

A "C5" serial number would be in the 1970's, so you are looking at a 1976 tractor, get us some pictures and the numbers off the sticker under the hood

Thanks for the feedback, The sticker under the hood is gone, I can see where it was, but it is not there. I will get some pictures, what pictures will help identify the tractor?

I cannot find anywhere what the K at the beginning of the first number stands for and the next two digits don't show up anywhere I have searched either.
I really just need to know what manuals I should be looking for but it is interesting that I have numbers that don't seem to match up to anything I can find.

Thanks

Just found this on another site, I will still take the pictures to see if anyone can help me verify this information. My last digit being a K signifies the transmission that I have which is different than this example.

Model No. KD211F translates as follows:
KD2 - Model 420 Industrial (1976-78)
1 - Diesel Engine
1 - No PTO
F - 4x4 Torque Converter transmission, auto reversing
