bx power

I wonder why the bx 25 dose'nt have the bigger engine. the one the 2670 has. Never have too much power I say.

It would just spin the wheels faster, or run an implement too large and heavy to handle. It's a little, lightweight tractor.

Probably because they try to keep the weight down so it's a good lawn tractor?

I wish mine had more hydraulic flow but other than that wouldn't change a thing.

Weight difference cant be that much. Too much power could be it but I go for the power. Spin the wheels faster??? RPMs the same for both engines?

I can spin all 4 wheels on my BX23, what more power would be necessary? I've never run out of 'nads on this, traction --yes, power--no.

Not sure at what HP emissions comes into play?? Plus I would guess the bigger motor costs more and I have to agree my BX is never having a power problem.

I have a 2200 in Pa. and a 1870 in Fl. I just use a few more rpm's in Florida to achieve the same desire. Hard to tell the difference in power.

Yeah I have yet to run out of power with BH on and full bucket. Still spin wheels. I can easily lift the rears with FEL. More power for ???

Im not saying the 23hp needs more power but I wonder why the 2670 has the bigger engine. Dosent have a backhoe. I would just think the 25 would need the extra power for the hoe..

I somewhat think it is also marketing. People that owned a 25hp Craftsman figure that they need at least another tractor with that much "power."
