I see it like marketing cars. Multiple engine choices. Who needs the highest available power... not many.
What about heavy brush with a brush hog? BTW...can you run a five foot brush hog with a BX...or is a four foot likely the max? Thanks...TomR
Never tried it, but 4' would be my guess....Wouldn't even think about that without skid plates though.
Not sure what skid plates are...something to support the brush hog as it slides? TMR
Ah, the fan protection...I am aware of that. Thanks...I thought maybe the brush hog needed some skid plates to help it along a bitSkid plates that protect the HST fan...If you run in the woods or high brush with a BX you are pretty much guaranteeing damage to the fan. Newer models may be protected but older ones were not ...A shortcoming of Kubota for some reason....An MMM can help with the protection to a degree.
