1715 Help

Parked the tractor last week, went to use it today to start mowing and the clutch seems to be stuck. Started it up in gear hoping that it would come unstuck when it got warm but no luck, plus 5 min into mowing the PTO quit. Are these two things related? Anybody know of any good mechanics in the LA Ventura area?

Are you aware that Ford recommends "blocking" the clutch when tractor is not in use?
How many hours on your tractor?
Does your tractor have a loader?

After reading about stuck clutches and blocking, I reread the owners manual and on the last page at the bottom it does state to block the clutch. In the 17 years that I have owned this tractor I have never had any problems, so maybe it was time. The tractor has 362 hrs on it and yes it does have a loader. It is going to the dealer next week.

With that low time, your clutch certainly cannot be worn out.
There are some ideas posted here on TBN that others have tried (usually successfully) to unstick a clutch.
I am not a mechanic, nor even close to one, but a friend helped me split my Ford 1920. We split and reassembled in a day.
For me,(75 and retired) it was a fun learning process.
