I have been trying to understand some of your language. I have been watching the "Republic of Doyle" on Netflix and have had to look up a few things.
I have been told that I have quite an accent, and of course the Ozarks Region where I live is full of language nuances and phrases that are not used elsewhere in the broad spectrum of "English". I am sure if we were face to face we could understand each other, but I bet a few good laughs would be had on each side of the "common language"

If they are speaking really hard down Newfie, I don't think you would get much of it. I had one working for me once and when he got down with the Newfie talk, there wasn't a word understood by me or the local Alberta Canadians.Welcome from Branson Mo.

Every little town where I live has a different dialect . I think it is safe to say we all talk fast and work hard and will share most everything they have with you . A lot of newfie's in Alberta are having a rough time now with the fires . Was the guy that worked for you a hard worker ?
