Hello all,

I am in need of a tractor for my property and small business. I have owned many tractors both brand and size over the years and I now downsizing my operation and need a new machine, I am looking at 25-35hp 4x4 HST machines with at least 1 rear remote and SSQA loader. tractor will be used to run the following attachments, Firstproducts AE60 arivator seeder which I use to aerate and over seed small pastures with. Log splitter, landscape rake, 3. leaf blower, 3. broadcast spreader and eventually a 3. tiller. Also a 6' 3. finish mower.

I have been looking at all the brands and I am really impressed with the Kioti machines. I am concerned with the tier 4 stuff and noticed the 2610 will avoid having the extra emissions stuff, just not sure I will be happy with the HP. I think the only things I plan to do that will really eat HP will be the tiller and mower tho and wanted to get some opinions from those that are currently running kioti's.

I currently have gotten the following best quotes.

Ck2610HST, loader, floor mat, cruise control switch, dual rear remote valve and R4 tires. $15,400.

Ck3510HST, same options $18,000

how do those prices look and thoughts on the two machines ?

thanks

Mike

Kioitis are good machines, well made and dependable. Pricing I don't know.

What I do know is that if I can buy a tractor without the Tier 4 stuff and it suits my needs, then I'd buy it over one with Tier 4 stuff that meets my needs.

I think the 26 would suit your needs, except maybe the log splitter. Most people feel it's better to have a stand alone splitter. Look up the many threads about it here on TBN.

I wouldn't have one. Most small tractors don't have hydro pumps big enough to run them well.

Go one size bigger than you can afford. I am dealing with that now, I bought the NX4510 HST and now I want the NX5510 just for a little more umph! I love my Kioti and wouldn't change brands for anything but I know the same is said for other colors too. In August I paid $24,900 for my NX4510 then had 2RR, 3rd Function added on top of it. I think I was quoted somewhere around $19,000 when I looked at the CK4010HST. As others have said HP just equals how slow or fast you get the job done.

I would recommend the 2610. The price you were quoted is really good. I ended up paying 19500 out the door including a bush hog.

2610 would fit.

I paid $21,500 for the TLB set up CK2610.

Thanks for the input, it is a tough decision for me because I would hate to need more power in the future however I am not liking the emissions stuff. I have a large Case skid steer so the lacking loader capacity does not concern me. the rear mower is probably what concerns me the most if I get behind mowing that extra HP pays off. I'm going to go look at them again on Monday if the weather allows.

I can't really help on the HP question as I am new to tractor owning and operating. On the issue of prices, those are really good for my area. I just purchased a CK2610HST with similar options for $18,907 delivered. I was told the CK3510HST would be $2500 more.

I thought the prices were good as well. of course the dealer closest to me is $2250 higher and won't come down on his price. In further looking I see that the engine in the 2610 is not the same as the 35 and 4010 ?????? also still on the fence with possibly getting the BH attachment how would you all feel about HP for that? 12Bravo looks like you have 2610 with BH do you wish you had the extra HP ?

Thanks
Mike

In this class the hyro pump is what you want to look at for BH operations. The HP of the motor does little to effect BH operations.

I actually just came back in from using the BH, digging me a pistol range behind the house. I keep the RPM's lower than suggested, and still have plenty of power. Around 1300-1500, suggested is 1800-2000.

Something else that made me get the CK2610 over the 3510, usable power and weight restrictions.

What's the point of having a FEL that can lift 1600+ lbs and not have a tractor heavy enough to keep the wheels on the ground, even with filled rears. Yea, I know we need a ballast for more weight, but I see this as counter productive. First it puts a lot of stress on front end, I'll just take a little smaller loads and then do a few more trips and know I am not over stressing my machine. Plus, I usually leave the BH attached when doing FEL work. Simple because I need both, dig the dirt and then move the dirt then repeat...

HP of the motor on this size has not left me wanting more. I have lost traction before the motor bogged and wouldn't work anymore. Short of field work, I see no issue with the HP of the 2610. Plus I don't have to deal with the EPA ****!

Not to mention you can out fit a turbo on the 2610 and then you have a 3510 so to speak without the EPA **** also.

Mike
