Farmers should use smaller tractors,

Hey!!!, I love my hedge row. It controls erosion of wind and water and provides privacy for me and shelter for lots of God's creatures. But I haven't hugged it .....yet.:D (the thorns hurt). It does takes out about 50 feet each side of tillable land however. On the short term that could mean some $$$ to a farm operation.

I've heard that the Germans didn't care for the hedgerows in France either.

Cheers,
Mike

Sticking to the thread about smaller tractors..........I'd say that my garden is best when I keep my tractor out of it. In fact, if my knees hold out, I think that I'll dig the potatoes with a fork spade. However, throwing them up with a middle buster is a whole lot easier....got 5 rows, 30 foot each. ....We'll see what the knees say. 203.JPG

Cheers,

And Bitumin is what we call asphalt, and the pavement is what we call a sidewalk. Good old Brit English.

I'll let my BIL know his 130hp Case is too big. He's all ears when his brother-in-law from Boston advises him about farm tractors.
