I've been particularly impressed by the cheapness of the Leviton brand in general, reading reports that 6 out of 7 failed.
From reviews on Amazon Cooper looks like a step up, and Pass and Seymour even better.

I've got to put in 6 or so and prices range from <$20 to over $30, so what is good and what is not?

Bryant is also a good brand, I had very few issues with them, installed alot during my 15 years as an electrician.

I just buy what they sell at Home Depot and Lowes. In 20 years of installing close to 2 dozen a year, I've only had one fail on me, and that was outdoors in a garden for a small pond.

I would have to agree with the 6 out of 7 failing for the Leviton brand . 1 in My new house after 2 years , replaced with a different brand that has been in for 9 years without a problem . 1 in a outside box that had weather shields in place , again replaced with a different brand . And ironically , 2 at My sisters place this past weekend , that were installed by a electrician a couple of years back , when Her utility pole was upgraded with a new main panel , meter , etc... .
Those 2 were also inside a weather resistant box that had a full over lapping cover over entire face of box . No rust or any other visual issue's were present , They just flat would not work . Like the others , seems to be a internal issue of some sort .

Not sure what Brand I am using now , I just go to a local plumbing & electrical store that I always get My things at and get what they sell . Do know it is not the Leviton brand though .

Pass and Seymour has been my go to for the last few years, haven't had one fail. Yet.
Seems to be a decent product at a fair price, they are not the highest priced usually mid range, but the quality seems to be there also.

Ive been installing cooper brand as an electrical contractor for many years,
. I use cooper cause i dont want to replace them.

Work great. Very little issues.

The led light showing tripped condition is also very nice feature.

If they go outdoors, get outdoor rated ones. Screws and parts are stainless steel.

Thanks for the recommendations, as i have a few that are giving me problems.

HF and Leviton are about equal, IMHO and that is not meant as a compliment to either.

A couple of days ago I went electrical shopping. My local hardware store has bins labeled "Cooper" but the receptacles in them were labeled "Eaton." Checking online when I got home, I find that Eaton bought Cooper in 2012.

Everything I buy at work is Hubel... not a single problem in 23 years and I have a lot of them.
