That is a nice looking setup Boylerman, and a great pic of that bobcat!

I grew up a little bit down the road from you in Burlington. Any mountain lion still up that way? I know they were still around when I was a kid in the 70s, but very rare to see.

We have a bobcat that comes through our property. I've never seen it, not even on my game cam, just tracks. But my neighbor leaves for work earlier in the morning, and he sees it quite often. Says it often is hanging out with a herd of deer!!

I saw a mountain lion 2 winters ago in the woods near my house. I was checking my trail cameras and saw him jump from a frozen pond up the hillside. I checked my cameras, and no pictures of him. So I can't "prove" CT has mountain lions. We see bobcat and coyotes on a regular basis, bears too. Even had a moose in my field a few summers ago.

It's interesting to see my wife using the duck house, and I am going to hold off on further work for a couple weeks as we take data. Today she said she wished there was a way to get the hose inside without leaving the door open, since the ducks will sometimes want to hop out for a run when she's just in there to give fresh water or hose off the floor. So now I'm thinking that instead of installing a hydrant outside the duck house, maybe it should be inside, with one of those coiled hoses. Indoor plumbing!!

Well, if you ever get a pic, I'd love to see it! I think the CT fish & game dept still maintains there are no mountain lions in the state, but I don't believe that for a second.

If I get picture of mountain lion in CT, I get $100 from the local mountain lion preservation group. And you are right, the State maintains there are no mountain lions in CT. Even when one was hit and killed on the Merritt Parkway a couple of years ago, they still insist there are none living in CT!
