Which Gooseneck Trailer?

I totally understand. I also don't like to haul near capacity. I'd rather have too much trailer as too little. A big load for me is two tractors totaling 16K.

I agree. Hauling right near the stated capacity 8s asking for trouble. A little more room for error isn't a bad thing. I know when I was looking at a 14k trailer I never thought I would need more, now I'm considering tandem duals with 12k axles to be able to move bigger loads. I do have a truck big enough to handle it now so that makes a big difference too. My 1 ton diesel wasn't pleasant towing at capacity on the trailer. The international just toys with everything I can put behind it now.

I,m sorry it took me so long to get this trailer weighed, but I have been so busy with any and everything else, but I put it on the scales today and it weighed in at 7,380 pounds almost exactly what my truck weighs. One other thing I felt like I needed to clarify is that the axles were not Dexter axles, they were LCI or Lippert axles, I have read a lot about problems with these axles but they were pretty much all on travel trailers and were not 10k axles, I have since talked to some people who said that there are nothing wrong with these axles and that the company had gotten their issues fixed and that all the parts are Dexter compatible, anyhow I haven't had any problems and thought I would give an update. Nice looking trailer Lineman! Those Gator trailers seem to be well built. I think I'll look into them for when I replace my gn trailer. I would be looking for almost the same trailer. We run 17.5s on stock trailers and have been super pleased with them.

I have been very pleased with the 17.5 tires and the 10k super single axles and yes they are heavy built trailers, I got the workhorse series which is their basic trailer but it still has the 14" I beam pierced frame and appears to be very well built, it doesn't have the Dexter axles like their top of the line trailer, it has Lippert axles but I haven't had any problems so far, for $ 7695.00 for a 25 plus 5 made just like I wanted it, I can't complain.

Lippert still has major issues with the axles. Over on the Grand Design RV group folks are having to have the seals replaced right and left. I am just waiting for my Grand Design RV to start throwing grease on the brakes. My Dexter and Rockwell axles on my Big Tex and PJ trailers have never gave me any trouble.

Well, so far no troubles as of yet, but I don't use it every day, I hope it works out for me, you can find bad reviews on anything and I certainly saw all the bad stuff on the RV axles but I have yet to find anyone that has had any problems with the 10k oil bath axles, hope it won't be me.

sweet trailer! I'm in the market. Assuming u have 4.10 grears like me, does this weight mean you have a carrying capacity of 6,620#s?
