GC Sloppy Wobbly Seat

My point for you and Ray, is that we live in a different world than when many of us were kids. Its a me me me first world . . and I think its important for us to recognize when someone does something right and proper . . especially in business situations. Today many people don't even know what the "golden rule" is much less what it looks like in action.

What you would have done with the seat doesn't matter. The normal business perspective is he gives you a price and is trading his new seat for mondy and your virtually new seat. I have a much more optimistic perspective on your dealer I guess, because he helped a customer and made a profit but didn't attempt to make yet another profit on it. I think we teach others how to do the right thing or the wrong thing by our own actions and perspectives. Ray wants to say the dealer "wasn't a thief" and I want to say he was honest and you want to say it doesn't matter. Which perspective teaches what tiday's socuety lacks in the golden rule ? If we don't teach it . . who will ?

That's fine.

But to me, it's like saying that when a cashier gives you the correct change, they are honest.

Yea I get what your saying. I believe this dealer is a good dealer but my opinion is only based on one purchase. I certainly let people know where i got it and tell them how it went. Word of mouth is very important for these guys just like the performance shop I take my car to. I pay extra knowing I'm getting top of the line service that is second to none. But there are people with sour opinions of them as well. Thats how forums go if your doing business with a lot of people you won't possibly make everyone happy. Some customers expecatations are just too high and sometimes a business will rise up and sometimes not. When I first started searching business reviews I really didn't find much under tractor dealers. I put some feelers out VIA email and went with my gut. I think the internet has been great for businesses but it can be a situation where one guy on a forum has a bitchy moment and just talks a lot of trash. This is where i think customers do wrong. Most generally they haven't even called the business to try and solve the problem. They are on the forums asking opinions and talking smack. Mustang forums are littered with this behavior. Its crazy i think.

Is anyone elses seat wobbly like mine? I can sit there and rock back and forth an inch anyways.

sounds like much ado about nothing. seat on my 2009 gc2410 works fine, has ever since I learned how to spin it front to back and back to front properly.

it's comfortable, stable, and does the job just fine with over 500 hours on it.

I'm fairly stiff after a long shift on the tractor, but I'm in just as bad shape after a long drive in a nice new truck.

I'm looking for something more stable, or solid maybe is the better word. This seat and frame is too wiggly for me. It gives an uneasiness about not being part of the tractor. I'd rather it was solid mounted with more foam cushion so that I can feel what the tractor is doing underneath me.

Have you stopped at your dealer and sat on the gc1715 seat yet ? My guess is your wish and that model seat is your answer. :)

Axle,

I have not been to the dealer, for a couple related reasons. First, I don't have $400 to spare right now and second, I am quite sure the improvement will be "exactly what the Dr. ordered" and I'll obsess over it until I have one. :D
