Maybe I'm the last to know but I was pressure washing some equipment and decided to try it on some grungy lawn furniture from the barn. It was really nasty with years of dirt, grime, grease and whatever but the pressure washer cleaned it back to new in mere moments. The results were so shocking I took a picture. OK, two.

I used a turbo nozzle if that matters.

I have no idea why the pictures are sideways because they were straight when I loaded them.

What kind of pressure washer? A big high pressure/flow gas engine one? or one of them little 1600-1800PSI electric ones for $100?

Have used both. Like the big one for cleaning equipment, blowing off grease and grime, etc. But them little ones are nice for washing stuff like you just did, vehicles, etc.

I discovered this a few years ago. It works great. You have to keep the pressure down though, otherwise those lightweight chairs will end up in the neighbors yard.

I have been doing that for years. Don't have a turbo nozzle. Just an old 2700 psi pressure washer. It really takes the grunge off of them.

Well, it is a high pressure, high volume one but I had it idled down and on low PSI to clean them. Otherwise, as KennyG states they would be long gone. Low pressure worked great. k0ua--try a turbo nozzle--they clean softer items great.

Most come with a selection of nozzles rated by color in decreasing level of aggressiveness...red, yellow, green, white, black (or is it black/white). Start at the low end and work up. No more intensity than required! Great tools.

The black tip on mine is used when you desire the cleaning fluid to be drawn from the tank into the pressure stream. The other tips are "water only."

I think the color is universal...makes sense (e.g. "red" means you have the equivalent of a sandblaster, yellow a step below that, green pretty safe for most things...just like stop-lights!).

There was no need of any cleaning soap or whatever. The grime was gone the moment the pressure hit the chair. Wife was so impressed she wants all the chairs from the barn done tomorrow.
