MAHINDRA 3510 w/ ML112 FEL
I am flushing out the radiator on my Mahindra 3510 and installing new coolant. I read on the Fleet Charge site that regular tap water can be used. Has anyone done this with good or adverse results?

Here is the info I'm asking about.

FLEET CHARGEョ fully formulated coolant eliminates these problems because it痴 fully-formulated technology includes an optimally balanced SCA technology and can be mixed with the drinking water from city water systems. Most of the problems observed with the conventional antifreezes resulted from improper maintenance practices.

Thanks,
Joe

I know I won't use my mineralized tap water. I always use distilled, and there is no reason not to. Distilled water is relatively cheap at wal mart. Why introduce minerals into your cooling system?

I would used distilled. It can't hold that much go spend five bucks for the peace of mind.

Same. $5 is cheap insurance even if there is minimal benefit.

I am partial to Final Charge red ELC over Fleet Charge and I just get it in 50/50 mix version, even for my commercial trucks. But for self mixing, distilled is the best way to go.

Last I checked, distilled water at Wal-Mart was like 79 cents per gallon (might be more now).

88 cents per gallon here... but still ...a trivial amount of money to have less minerals in your cooling system.

Well, ya'll twisted my arm enough. I went to Wally World and purchased a gallon of distilled water for $.80. I figured if I was going go through the expense of new coolant and a radiator flush for the inside, and the trouble of pulling the radiator and cleaning the outside, a dollar bill and a trip to town was minimal.
Thanks for all the input.
