I took down an oak tree that had no limbs so the dumptruck could get around inside the pond's fence. I had a friend taking photos today. He took about 6 before the battery died. This photo was the only good one of taking down the huge sweetgum. I also took out an 8 inch Elm tree that was tied into the sweetgum's root ball. The Sweetgum was about 70 feet high. It was about 26 inches at the root ball. 7-3-16 CAT Digging Up Huge Sweetgum Tree.jpg After cutting these two trees up and hauling them to the wood pile, I dug up the two pine trees behind the CAT in the photo. The pines didn't go exactly where I pushed them. The first one to hit, hit the island and took out my 4 foot tallCypress tree. Sorry, no more photos as my Kodak digital camera takes about 12 hours to recharge her batteries. But more photos later today!
hugs, Brandi

If I ever get over all the surgery on my left foot and right knee, I'm gonna get busy on my place. I get inspired watching your progress on your place. Makes me want to get busy.
I did get a Pole Barn up before Knee Replacement June 13.

Keep the pictures coming, getting some good ideas for what I want my place to look like

Thanks Kneedeep! I love doing it and just wish I could devote more time to it. I kinda feel guilty letting other stuff get behind, like house cleaning. But that first scoop of dirt and all my worries are forgotten. I lost 5 pounds in the last 4 days work here at home. Most days I change to dry clothes 4 times with cool rinse off baths beween clothe changes. It's been hot. But I keep taking my spoonfuls of Mustard! I even got a bottle of Mustard for the ice box in the hangar's breakroom.

What surgeries are you having? I have had my right knee scoped and cleaned up twice and the right foot has had bunion and hammer toe surgery. Some day gonna need Tailor's bunion surgery on both feet. Shots work for now.
hugs, Brandi

That excavator looks a little close to the edge of the water for comfort. I'm sure you wouldn't take unnecessary chances. It just looks uncomfortable.

TB Score,
I understand completely. However, it is about 6 feet from the water's edge on rock solid red clay.

Beautiful place! Your pond is really nice looking Brandi. I have seen a few products to treat ponds and was curious if yours helps control weeds too, or is it a basic bio dye? I wish we could cost effectively treat our neighborhood ponds, but during large rains a lot of water is replaced, so probably not cost effective.

Stay cool! Going to be hot for a while...

Yeah, I take 1-2 teaspoons of mustard each night to avoid heat cramps.
hugs, Brandi

Oh, that's a new one. I eat bananas or take potassium tablets. Both work well to avoid cramps. I guess mustard has lots of potassium?
