I never had to use the trimer on 223 I hear if you load Em to next to max then you might

Bottleneck brass grows.. Eventually. Might not do it in 1-2 shots.. But it grows.

Hmm, 9mm Para, 9mm Mak, .40 S&W, .270 Win, 7.62x25, 7.62x39, and 7.62x54r
with possible .32 acp or .380 ACP in the future; oh and .410 shells would be nice, and .30 Carbine...

Do you have to resize/trim for bolt action rifles, or just auto loaders?

You can neck size for boltguns, but eventually you have to bump the shoulder back or you will get hard openings.

Fl resize and shooting will eventually grow the brass.

I would stay well away from a lee press. Every one I have seen is junk. There's a reason they are $25. I picked up a RCBS rock chucker at a gun show for $45. It's 100 times better than the lee presses. You are going to want a primer tool because the one build into the press is slow. Then you are going to want a powder dropper because measuring every charge on a scale is slow.

I have 4 various lee press's and a rcbs rock chucker.

Two lee 'C', a lee hand squeeze mobile, and a lee 4 hole turret.

The turret will easilly size rifle cartridges up into the 30 caps including belted mags. If you hit things lil 50bmg, you will want the rcbs rc.

The lee c press are fine for pistol. I leave one setup with a uni deprimer.

The 4 hole turret makes changing dies and making ammo way faster than a single hole.

I love my hi-q rcbs, but wont give up that 4 hole lee.

Nothing wrong with different tools if you use them with application in mind. And that goes for lee as well. I love taking the squeeze press on trips or to the range.

I am kinda of a "blue press" (Dillon Precision) kind of guy, but I aint knocking any of them. I have owned or used most of them except Hornady, and I hear they are good. I like my Dillon RL550B a lot. It is a progressive press, and is the only thing I will have in the house that is a progressive:laughing:

I have 2 Hornady Lock-n-load progressive presses. Definitely way faster than a single stage press. I used to have the old Hornady progressive press, but I didn't like it. Hornady had a credit towards the new Lock-n-load if you mailed in the other press. I think the first Lock-n-load only cost me about $70, and I liked it so much I bought a second one. Now I don't have to change them from large or small pistol primers, I load most of my pistol calibers on those. I load the small caliber rifle and my match grade pistol ammo on the RCBS. Then I have a Redding ultra mag for the difficult to resize stuff. It has a lot better leverage and isn't as tiring as the RCBS although I like the RCBS better.

Well we're talking about 22 not a 44 and why such a big price jump? The only thing that cost on a 22 is the case can't be the bullet. So I go back to what I said people hording so many rounds

Simple- because they CAN charge those rates and still get people to buy it.

The absolute most I was and am willing to pay for 22LR is $0.07 per round, so they won't be gouging me.

On the other hand, I'm not finding much to buy either.

And you can call them on the phone too if you can't figure something out.. They will help you set it up.
