Right but you have a canister element filter in the system as well. you have to take the bolt off and slide the can down then pull the filter out of the can.

Yeah and don't forget to warn people that when you drop that can, the fuel tank drains completely and to be ready for it. Either do it with an empty tank, or remove and clamp the inlet hose, or remove the small drain in the bottom of the can and drain the tank slowly that way. Oh yeah they don't tell you to remove the can you have to loosen the bolt in the top. In my book they talk like it's was a spin on which it isn't. If try to spin it you're likely to bust something. Just more crappy Mahindra documentation.

Which model? My 1538 has no shutoff and no drain petcock, at least none that's visible and none mentioned in either manual. But it did have one that wasn't mentioned in the manuals that would be no surprise either. I may be adding a water trap with a drain petcock to mine though. Just plumb it inline before the first fuel filter where it would do the most good. It does have an 8 or 10mm drain plug in the bottom of the first filter bowl so maybe just replace the plug with a petcock but you'd have to drain a little to see if there was any water. Kinda like you do when you preflight an airplane.

If you could find some clear fuel rated hose, you could run it out the bottom of the bowl 3-4" and put a shutoff on the bottom. Then you could see if it had water in it.

This is the shutoff incorperatedwitht he banjo on the tank of my 4025. Thought they all would have one to keep the tank from draing on filer changes.
